UK Charts: Big new entries

The X-Factor finalists have gone 2nd week at #1 with their charity single “Hero” beating Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy” which settled for an impressive #2.

Girls Aloud were a bit disappointed with their new single finishing at #3 this week with “The Promise”. Britney’s “Womanizer” finds a comfortable #4 debut.

Other notable new entries in the charts are Leona Lewis’ “Forgive Me” which settled at #5 while Strictly Come Dancing Champion and former girl band member Alesha Dixon at #8with “The Boy Does Nothing”.

Also, in the top 20 following with the release of her Greatest Hits CD “Keeps Gettin’ Better” enters the chart at #14 trailing behind big new entries Britney, Beyonce, Leona etc.

    Hopefully girls aloud will be pleased by their first non compilation number one album. Yay! It’s actually a pretty decent top five!!
