UK Charts: Leona runs to #1


Leona Lewis runs to the top of the UK Singles Charts this week. Leona, the 23 year-old pop superstar enters the charts at #1 with her cover version of Snow Patrol’s “Run”. She knocked off previous #1 Take That.

Justify FullThe single was made available for download in the UK last November 30 and after 2 days of release, the single became the fastest selling digital sinlge in the UK’s history.

Take That’s “Greatest Day” had to settle for #2 while last week’s #3 T.I with Rihanna “Live Your Life” plunges to #7.

Britney Spears also came rushing for the top spot with her single “Womanizer” which jumped 4 spots to #3 this week. Her album “Circus” is out now.

Oasis became the highest new entry in the charts after debuting at #12 with their latest single “I’m Outta Time”.

Meanwhile in the albums chart, Take That scored a #1 album with their latest LP “The Circus” beating Britney Spears which only settled for a #4 spot with “Circus”.
