UK Charts: Alexandra Burke’s "Hallelujah" is Christmas #1

X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke has topped the Christmas UK Singles Charts this week with her cover version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”. The most famous version of the song done by Jeff Buckley rises from #30 to #2 this week.

Leona Lewis, season 3 winner fell 2 places to #3 with her former #1 “Run”.

Due to the X Factor finale, Beyonce garnered 2 places in the top ten with her single “If I Were A Boy” climbing to #4 while her duet with Alexandra “Listen” enters the top ten from #60.

Geraldine a.k.a Peter Kay spends its first week in the countdown debuting at #5 with “Once Upon A Christmas Song”.

Meanwhile, in the albums chart Take That garners the christmas #1 album with “The Circus” preventing Leona Lewis’ Deluxe Edition CD which settles for a #2 spot.
