Ne-Yo – Mad (Review)

Ne-Yo has been one of the consistent male artists of his generation to produce hit after hit. It’s been a great year for Ne-Yo following the success of the release of his new album “Year of The Gentleman”. 2 top ten hits across the globe and of course, he is ready to release single #3 from his new album. It’s titled “Mad” and it’s proving another classic ballad hit for this gentleman.

“Mad” is another r&B ballad song which kind of settles somewhere between So Sick and Miss independent. It’s effortlessly crafted lyrics are just easily to relate to. Ne-Yo’s approach to relationships seemed to be working as many have patroned his exquisite talent in singing these kinds of songs. The song also has mild piano accompaniment which closely resembles “Take A Bow” in some way. It’s a no wonder why Ne-Yo has been one of the most successful artists of 2008 even grabbing a Grammy Nomination for Album of the Year. Ne-Yo’s effortless vocals pretty much elevated the likeability of the song. He’s so in-demand right now that I almost hear his songs in the radio more frequent than ever.
