UK Charts: GaGa is Britain’s new #1

Well, she’s not been called the “future of pop” for nothing. New-Yorker Lady GaGa tops the UK Singles Charts this week with her single “Just Dance” beating off X Factor winner Alexandra Burke.

2008 Winner of the X Factor series, Alexandra settles at #3 while James Morrison and Nelly Furtado’s duet reached to a new peak of #2 with “Broken Strings”.

Last week’s #2 Leona Lewis pushed back for a #4 spot with her Snow Patrol cover of “Run”.

The Saturdays settled for a #6 debut of their latest single “Issues” while Beyonce occupied the top 7 and 8 positions with “If I Were A Boy” and “Single Ladies” respectively.

The only new entry in the singles chart comes from Rapper Coolio with his single “Gangsta’s Paradise” entering at #31.

Meanwhile, American rock group Kings of Leon ended Take That’s 5 week reign at #1 with their former #1 album “Only By The Night” bouncing back at #1.
