The Saturdays – Just Can’t Get Enough (Review)

These girls might be the newest girl group sensation to ever grace the UK music scene. They’ve got all their singles inside the top 10 of the singles chart and their album is slowly getting recognition as far as we’re concerned. Now they’re back with a charity single that’s exceptionally performed and quirky enough as it is in the running for top spot in the UK Singles Charts come Sunday ahead of current #1 “MLWSWY” by Kelly Clarkson. Their new single, “Just Can’t Get Enough” is a cover of Depeche Mode’s original song which is recorded for the Comic Relief programme in the UK.

I am literally perplexed when I first heard that this was chosen as the official Comic Relief single and I was very eager to listen to how did the Saturdays give justice on this particular track. The cover was indeed still on the right track. They didn’t try too much to sound overdone. Their take on the Depeche Mode classic was indeed satisfying enough to make it sound very gay. It’s cute, catchy and definitely worthy of a #1 spot. Not that it’s a charity single but it’s because of their efforts to make it sound at least NICE.
