UK Charts: Flo-Rida ends race to #1

Too bad for the Saturdays, Flo-Rida has ended their race to #1 spot this week in the UK Singles Charts with his single, “Right Round” entering at #1 leaving the Saturdays’ Comic Relief charity single disappointed with a #2 spot. The Saturdays are the first act to record the Comic Relief single to not reach the #1.

Last week’s #1 and #2, Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift respectively had their singles down 3 spots with “MLWSWY” at #4 and “Love Story” at #5.

GaGa is yet closer for an another UK #1 spot with her second single “Poker Face” remaining at #3.

Other notable gains in the top 40 are from Chipmunk with his new single “Chip Daddy Chip” debuting at an impressive #21. Ladyhawke enters the top 100 with a disappointing #47 with “Paris Is Burning”. Maybe she can get a higher spot next week eh?

Meanwhile, in the albums chart U2 scored their tenth #1 album with “No Line On The Horizon”.

the UK press keeps reporting that the saturdays are the first comic relief song to miss the UK number one slot – however, Bananarama missed out with Help in 1989 (#3), Right Said Fred in 1991 (Stick It Out #4) and PSB – Absolutely Fabulous stalled at 6. True, the last nine have topped the charts though 🙂 I’m sad that TT couldn’t quite make the top ten though ;(

I find “Just Dance”, “poker face” and “My Life Would Suck without you” more deserving to be on top in my own opinion. But still thanks to this post!!! http://www.musicplayer.me

Paul: oh! I never had the chance to research on that. Thanks anyways. I’m still disappointed with it though. People in the UK should support this single. it’s for a good cause.
