UK Charts: Calvin Harris defeats GaGa for UK top spot

Apparently, Lady GaGa has been knocked off at the top spot of the UK Singles Charts by Scottish singer, Calvin Harris with his single “I’m Not Alone”.

“I’m Not Alone” is the first UK #1 single for Calvin Harris who has been around the UK music scene for quite sometime now producing such electropop, dance anthems in his span of career. He recently had a #1 with a collaboration with grime dance artist, Dizzee Rascal “Dance Wiv Me”.

Having beaten by Calvin Harris in the UK singles charts, Lady GaGa spent her second week at #1 in the UK Albums Chart with her debut album, “The Fame”. The newspapers recently reported that LoveGame will not be released as the third single for the UK Audience as it will be replaced by “Paparazzi” because of “LoveGame”‘s suggestive lyrics.

PCD remains at #3 with “Jai Ho” while London synth duo La Roux jumps to #4 with “In For The Kill”. While Flo Rida and Taylor Swift sinks to #9 and #10 with “Right Round” and “Love Story” respectively.

Biggest new entry belongs to Ciara and Justin Timberlake for their collaboration “Love, Sex, Magic” which comfortably sits at the top 10 of the US Billboard HOT 100 this week.
