UK Charts: Tinchy Stryder beats La Roux for "Number 1"

Grime superstar, Tinchy Styder has inched his way to #1 again with his second single this year “Number 1” featuring N-Dubz. Tinchy ended the 2-week reign of Scottish dance artist, Calvin Harris.

Calvin Harris descends to #3 while London synth duo, La Roux remains the struggle at #2 with “In For The Kill”.

GaGa dips a notch to #4 with “Poker Face” while Eminem sees his comeback single rise 3 places to #5 with “We Made You”.

Other notable gainers in the top 20 include Scottish rock band Marmaduke Duke with their single “Rubber Lover” entering the charts at #12. P!nk rises from #23 to #13 with her latest, “Please Don’t Leave Me”.

Keri Hilson and The Prodigy made their entrance in the top 40 with their latest singles, “Return The Favour” and “Warrior’s Dance” debuting at #20 and #18 respectively.

Girls Aloud’s latest single, “Untouchable” ascends to the top 30 this week. “Untouchable” is released today, April 27, 2009.

Meanwhile, In the albums chart, Lady GaGa is still the queen of the charts with her debut LP, “The Fame” retaining it’s top spot.

Depeche Mode debuts at #2 with “Sound of the Universe” while London trio, “Noisettes” debuts at #7 with “Wild Young Hearts”.

    Poor La Roux. I think she has emerged the moral victor though 🙂 I’m glad Lily Allen is still hanging around the top ten. She’s been there for weeks – i bet when her sales are added together she has probably sold a decent amount, perhaps more than some higher charting but faster falling songs.

    I have to agree. “Not Fair” is an awesome song and should find its way soon at the top or a good top 3 finish. in a while it’s 2 weeks away from release.
