UK Charts: BEP booms their way to #1

The Black Eyed Peas storms their way to #1 this week busting off British Grime Prince Tinchy Stryder and N-Dubz from the top spot.

The returning quartet enters the UK top 40 this week with their comeback single “Boom Boom Pow”. It caused Tinchy to move down to #2 with “Number 1” and La Roux to #3 with “In For The Kill”.

The Black Eyed Peas recently enjoyed their 6th week at #1 in the US Billboard HOT 100 last Friday.

Another comebacking artist whose album is out now called “Relapse” gained a new peak of #4 with the full-of celebrity bashing “We Made You”.

Lily Allen, whose first single off “It’s Not Me, It’s You”, “The Fear” landed top spot months ago is seeing her second single “Not Fair” climbing to #5 this week.

Meanwhile, in the albums chart Green Day enjoys its massive lead at the top spot of the UK albums chart this week. Their new album “21st Century Breakdown” made #1 after just 2 days of sale.
