UK Charts: Agnes debuts big while Dizzee remains #1

Swedish pop darling Agnes debuts her first ever UK single, “Release Me” at #3 in the UK Singles Charts this week. Unfortunately, the ever-late “Release Me” is still behind The Black Eyed Peas (#2) and Dizzee Rascal (#1).

Daniel Merriweather, whose album is scheduled for a June 1 release is still planted at the #5 spot with his hit “Red”
Another Big debut comes from Australian rock duo, “The Veronicas” which sees their first UK attempt with an another late release of “Untouched” which debuts at an impressive #8 spot.

My favourite electro pop artist as of the moment, Little Boots debuts her first proper single “New In Town” at #13. Will she crack the top 10 next week? I hope so.
Unfortunately, the American Idol contestants are nowhere to be found in the top 70. Kris Allen’s winning song “No Boundaries” are going ‘strong’ inside the top 70 in midweeks but unfortunately, didn’t make the cut this Sunday. Either runner-up Adam Lambert is nowhere to be found. Luckily, the Bill Withers classic “Ain’t No Sunshine” lands a spot in the top 100 with download sales rocketing him inside the top 60.
In the albums chart, Eminem retains the top spot with “Relapse” while British classical group, Escala debuts big at #2 with their debut album “Escala”.

Well at least she’s in the top three – it’s still better than 37 other singles.

and yay for LB 🙂 Even if it goes no higher i think it’s a sterling introduction to her work, and she’s got a decent album of tracks ahead of her !!
