Single Review: Paloma Faith – Stone Cold Sober

Paloma? A very interesting name for a female singer right? A former London Burlesque turned Musician, Paloma Faith is certainly one of the newest female artists to watch for. Her enigmatic, fantasy-like visual style is astounding. She has a certain vibe that is quite puzzling and very much entertaining. Possibly think of Amy Winehouse / Duffy mixed with the gaiety of Katy Perry, who wouldn’t want that? Catch her debut single, “Stone Cold Sober” when it is rush released by Epic Records on June 15.

“Stone Cold Sober” maybe one of those songs that would possibly be stuck on repeat on your music players. Musicality wise, it may kind of sound with Duffy’s “Mercy” combined with a little bit of rock and jazz hype. It maybe a clear mix of many different musical styles ranging from Soul, Dance and even Rock. But the song can be utterly described as a little bit too jazzy with its colourful variety of instruments presented towards the entirety of the song.
