UK Charts: Scouting For Girls knocks La GaGa off the top

The retired band sees their last single at #4 this week. Thanks to a Facebook campaign.

English alternative band Scouting For Girls has knocked off Lady GaGa at the top of the UK Singles Charts yesterday. The band who released their current #1 single, ‘This Ain’t A Love Song’ debuted at the top pushing the alliance of GaGa and Beyonce’s ‘Telephone’.

Second highest new entry is English rapper/soul singer Ben Drew also known as Plan B. His new single, ‘She Said’ enters the chart at #3 ahead of now retired band Delirious? who sees their last single, ‘History Makers’ land on #4 due to a facebook campaign similar to what happened on the Christmas #1 that left Joe McElderry sitting at #2 behind Rage Against The Machine.

Rihanna, Tinie Tempah and Justin Bieber suffered 2, 3, 4 spots decline . Usher, in the meanwhile jumps to #8 this week with his latest single featuring Will.I.Am, ‘OMG’ . The single entered the charts last week at #13.

The last new entry in the top 40 belongs to N-Dubz. Their new single, ‘Say It’s Over’ is currently sitting at the #40 spot due to downloads.

Meanwhile, in the albums chart Boyzone retains their composure at the top spot preventing Lady GaGa to inch her way back to the top with ‘The Fame’

The first top 3 spots didn’t move but we see some gains and a new entry in the top 10 that belonged to Free & Bad Company with their Very Best album which debuted at #10.

Sadly, the Sugababes album is nowhere to be found in the top 40.
