UK Charts: Scouting makes it 2 weeks, GaGa bounces back as #1 album

English alternative band Scouting For Girls makes it two weeks in a row at #1  with ‘This Ain’t A Love Song’ in the UK Singles Charts. The trio from London releases their sophomore album, ‘Everybody Wants To Be On TV’ today in the UK.

Usher, in the meantime is up by 6 to #2 this week with his latest featuring Will.I.Am, ‘OMG’ while English soul/rap artist Plan B stays put at #3 with ‘She Said’.

The biggest gainer in the top 10 is Timbaland. His new single, featuring Justin Timberlake ‘Carry Out’ leaps 10 places to chart at #6 this week just ahead Romanian dance diva Inna with her firing dance number, ‘Hot’ at #7

American singer Joshua Radin earns the highest new entry of the top 40 this week with his year-old single, ‘I’d Rather Be With You’ debuts at #11 this week just behind Cheryl Cole (#10) and Justin Bieber (#9).

Paramore, on the other hand scores their third UK top 40 hit with ‘The Only Exception’. It is noted that the band’s last single, ‘Brick By Boring Brick’ only charted at a disappointing #85 last year.

Meanwhile, in the albums chart La Gaga has bounced back to the top spot to re-claim the throne from last week’s number 1, Boyzone.

The highest new entry this week belongs to Manchester band, Doves as their third compilation album ‘The Best of The Places In Between’ debuts outside the top 10 at #12. He is joined by Jonsi with ‘Go’, Rufus Wainwright and Slash at numbers 20, 21 and 30 respectively.
