It’s just almost a week since I learned to appreciate the presence of Bobby Ray a.k.a B.o.B. His smashing single featuring Bruno Mars has been stuck on my playlist on repeat for days now and his new single, ‘Don’t Let Me Fall’ stunned me the first time I hear it given that the song is completely off-key from ‘Nothin’ On You’. Well, his debut album is on the works of release now and a new track has been released. This time it features an unexpected collaboration. Hayley Williams of Paramore is in the track – Hayley of all people. It’s quite odd because as we all know, Hayley sings head banging rock songs and it kind of veers her away from the R&B and Hip-Hop genre. The track’s called ‘Airplanes‘ and it’s fookin sick.
Everything about ‘Airplanes’ is quite lovable. Despite the fact that it features another set of melancholic, heavy lyrical content, the addition of Hayley William’s vocals to the track makes it more believable. It’s generically a hip-hop track but with enough bits, glam and angst to make it as one hell of a song. This I can tell you, you’d either like it or not. It’s just amazing.
